I first met Support Dogs at a networking event in 2015. My love for dogs meant I couldn’t help myself, but go over to the person in the room with the dog and ask if I could say hello. After chatting for a while, I was amazed to learn what this dog could do and I was keen to learn more about the charity. They invited me in to their offices, where I learnt about the incredible work they do – who would believe that a dog can be trained to alert someone to an oncoming epileptic seizure, giving that individual time to get to somewhere safe and enabling them to live more independently.
Shortly after this visit I became a trustee and have loved working with them ever since. Support Dogs never cease to amaze me with the way they change peoples lives for autism, epilepsy and physical disability.
